i am in a foul, foul mood

I figure while I have the bitch theme going here, I might as well do some of it before I close down this blog.

Let me just get this outta' the way...I'm PMSing and my hormones are not being kind to me.

I hate using the word 'hate' but it applies so well to the asswipe drivers here. Now, again, I don't claim to be the perfect driver but if one more fucking douche bag tailgates me, merges into my lane without signaling nearly driving me off the side of the road or some old fart isn't tall enough to see over the steering wheel and therefore, swerves all over the fucking universe, I am going to pull out the imaginary M16 I keep in my car and blast them all to Stupidville where all the stupid-ass drivers reside.

The person who shall not be mentioned here obviously never learned any manners growing up. He probably had his dick in his ear or something while his mother was talking. There are three people whom I consider to be the most selfish people I have ever known and he is at the top of the list. He asks me to do favor after favor for him but getting him to respond to a simple fucking Email is like pulling pubic hairs out with a fucking tweezer. After he asked me in a text message to drop the kids off after my son's football practice tonight, I wrote him an Email and told him that I don't expect much where he's concerned but if he expects me to do him favors, then he needs to reciprocate even if it's something as minor as responding to an Email about something regarding the kids. He wrote back, "What favor?!"!! Can someone be that oblivious?! I actually had to respond defining the word 'favor' for him. If someone is going to the brain bank, could you please pick him up one that doesn't have a dent in it...from my kicking it in.

Schwartz is a fucking shit monster. It all started this past weekend when we had torrential, non-stop rain the entire weekend and he just decided that he was going to make my house his own personal toilet instead of going outside to do his business. Boy, can he be so disagreeale sometimes! My house smelled like dog ass the entire frickin' weekend. And today...OMG...my daughter took him outside and I swear, he was inside for two minutes and I turned my back for two seconds when he shit all over the front hallway and dining room. Over the weekend he shit in my bathroom too! I can't fucking stand it anymore! My son actually asked if I just couldn't stick his ass on the toilet!

Montana is driving me nuts. He can't stand the collar so he's constantly scratching at it. The noise wakes me up in the middle of the night. I don't know what is worse...listening to him yarf all over the place, Schwartz's stanky ass in my face on the pillow next to me or listening to the non-stop scratching at that damn fucking thing!

The next complaint is reason #409 why I choose to remain single. Facebook has put me in touch with quite a number of people, including people I'm getting to know through mutual contacts. So this guy and I started talking one day about a month ago and even though he's 1,000+ miles away and there's no chance that we'd ever meet or get together (the story of my life), we've been having some great chats. Until this past weekend.

Both of us are divorced and neither of us had our kids this past weekend so we decided that it would be a good time to chat away. Only, come early Saturday morning, he decided to make a rude and very unnecessary comment to me which completely turned me off from ever communicating with him again!

Now, it's not so much what he said (it was through IM and I realize that it was probably a joke) as much as it was completely inappropriate and unfunny, if there is such a word. It was not sexual, it just gave off the impression that he thought he was too good for words to express - too good for anyone. Sorry, I hate shit like that. I can't stand people who think they're above anyone else. Even if it was a joke, which I'll give him the benefit of the doubt and say it was, I just can't be bothered. I've done everything I can to avoid him online, he didn't call me this weekend either so he must have known that I was perturbed, and he hasn't tried calling me since. Thank goodness for small miracles!

I'm sure the above are not the only things I can bitch about but it's the end of the day and I'm not as on-the-ball as earlier!

a week in the life of a gimp

Ah, my blogging friends, it's been one helluva week!

It started last Friday when I went food shopping by myself for the first time. What usually takes me thirty minutes or less took me an hour. By the time I was done, my feet hurt so bad, I wished I could crawl to my car.

My son has recently joined a weekend baseball team. Football during the week, baseball on Sundays. Since it was my weekend with the kids last weekend, I was responsible for shlepping them to the baseball park. I had to walk/limp/hobble along in very hot and humid 90+ degree heat and by the time I got to the bleachers, I'm certain there was a puddle of sweat trailing behind me. The makeup I had applied that morning was gone by the time I opened my car door when we arrived at the park.

This week was very busy. Aside from trying to take my time and letting my feet call the shots about how much I can get done in one day, I'm disappointed in the grooming Schwartz got and I've been annoyed all week from that! Yes, just from that!

When I picked him up from those shitty groomers at Petsmart last Friday, it looked like they had gotten tired of grooming him and chose not to shave/shape the fur on his head. Now he wakes up everyday with bedhead. It's cute. For about a second. Then I get annoyed all over again.

His paws...two of his paws were trimmed nicely, the other two, not so much. WTF happened? Did the groomer have her head shoved up her ass when she was grooming him?!

And while I'm on the subject of asses, she did a shit job shaving him with a zigzag pattern on his chest, but she did remember to shave his asshole. Yes, I said his asshole. He has a perfectly shaven, clean asshole (well, as clean as a dog's asshole can possibly be). From a groomer's perspective she was probably thinking, "No buttnuggets for you today, mister!" which is fine but he's got a bald asshole, for crying out loud! Maybe I should take him back and tell her if she's going to shave it she might as well bleach it too. If she wants it clean, make it fucking clean! Needless to say, I won't be using Petsmart again and if any of you use the Petsmart in your area for grooming, just make sure the groomer doesn't look like she just shot up.

I've been really bad about blogging lately. The motivation is just not there. Same with my photoblog (shameless plug). I'm gonna' try to be better at it though so don't anyone forget about me 'cause if you think I bitch now, just wait if you stop coming to visit me!

ICK to the highest power

I'm among the many people in the world who enjoys waking up to the smell of a rich, robust pot of coffee brewing, so when I smelled smelly dog ass this morning, I thought Schwartz had just farted.

A little while later I was still smelling a strong, potent odor of dog shit. When I walked out of my room and noticed the nice little mound of dog crap in my front hallway, I was not the least bit surprised.

Every now and then, Schwartz does this and I wish I could figure out why. I've become an expert at being able to read his signals when he needs to go out. But then there are days like today when he offers no signs and just prefers taking a hairy shit in my house that house pets from 1,000 miles away can sense.

It's a bit frustrating and embarrassing. Here I was just the other day bragging to y'all that I was able to fully train him and then I have to go admit that he left me with such a "treat"! Well, I don't have to admit anything! I could tell you that he shits gold and I'm about to become the wealthiest woman on this planet but unfortunately, that's not the case! Now, if our cars ran on the smelliest dog shit in the world, then I'd have something real to brag about!

I'm sure it's his way of getting attention although I'm thinking there are better, less smelly ways to do it!

Next time I'm taking a picture of it for your viewing pleasure!

the whole dog-gone story!

Queen Goob commented on my last post about Schwartz being a Lab so I thought I'd give my whole dog experience to clear things up.

Dog story #1...back in January, I believe, I took my kids to a birthday party where we saw a beautiful chocolate Lab sitting outside in the rain. According to the parents, the dog had been wandering the neighborhood for several days, had no collar and they said there didn't appear to be any signs around the neighborhood of anyone claiming him. It didn't take long to figure out that this very large puppy had been neglected and the owners had figured out that he was too much for them to handle, took his collar off so he couldn't be identified and let him go.

My kids had been begging me for a dog for some time so we took the dog. This dog was skinny, hungry and I was not about to let it sit in the rain another minute. As I soon realized, this dog was too much for us to handle! Having never owned a dog before, I was not prepared for something like that! Fortunately, my neighbor's handyman had been looking for a dog and as it turned out, this guy had once bred Labs. The minute dog and man saw each other, it was a match made in heaven! The dog is now happily romping on a large farm out somewhere in the Georgia countryside.

Dog story #2...my kids were very upset at having to give this fireball away. When I came back into the house after making sure the handyman had all the stuff we had bought for the puppy, both kids were crying and my son was wearing the borrowed dog collar around his head like fucking Rambo! Talk about throwing themselves a fucking pity party! I had to take them to out to get junk food and soda just to make sure the party was complete!

Soon after, I started searching online for pet adoption agencies in my area. I had always loved Boxers so I kept an eye out for one and I found an adorable Boxer/Lab mix that was in the right age range and was supposedly good with cats as we have three. I contacted the owner and she brought him by that afternoon. The kids really enjoyed him. A day or so later, when the kids were at their dads for a few hours, I asked the owner to bring the dog over so I could have some quality time with him to see if he would fit in here. A few things happened...first of all, he was scared to death of our cats and his reactions to them made me fucking on edge! When the owners came to pick him up, they admitted to me that even their cats didn't like him, growled at him often and they had had this dog for three years! We've had Schwartz for five months and my cats may still not be fully adjusted to him but even they don't growl at him anymore!

This false type of advertising really pissed me off. Had it not been for the allergic reaction I got from him being here, I would have told them 'no' solely based on them lying to me. As for the allergic reaction, I'm not sure why I got one because even though I'd never owned a dog, I've always been around them. I do recall that his brundle coat felt awfully strange and I'm not sure if it was the shampoo they used on him or if he hadn't been bathed in awhile but something wasn't right with it.

Dog story #3...again, my kids were disappointed in not being able to get that dog and I felt like I had let them down once again. People who've read my blog for awhile probably remember the stories I told about how nervous I was at becoming a dog-owner and I'm sure my nervousness played a huge roll in why I kept passing on these dogs.

Then the person who shall not be mentioned here tried to one-up me again by getting a puppy. He knew I had been looking for a dog and the kids had obviously voiced their disappointment to him in not getting another dog so they went out and got a puppy for the kids. It doesn't really matter what their reasons were behind it, to me it felt like they were doing it for no other reason than to try to score points with the kids and when he came over to the house one night to get the kids and they talked about how excited they were at seeing their puppy in front of me, he smirked at me and that's all it took for me to get my ass out there and start looking again. And that's when I found Schwartz.

For those of you who missed the post back in February, Schwartz is a Terrier/Cattle Dog mix and not a Lab as Queen Goob thought. He is a large 2-year old, approximately 60 pounds (he was 50 when we adopted him but I guess we've given him too many treats!!), and he's kinda' goonie-looking! I always describe him as Shrek but with fur. Sometimes he acts like a real doofus and other times you realize it's a total act and he's really pretty sharp!

It was Schwartz's second visit to the Humane Society. He had been neglected and was kept in a crate all day and all night by his previous owners who already had four other dogs. Luckily, they were smart enough to realize that they couldn't take care of him and brought him back to the shelter. He wasn't there five days when I spotted him and fell in love with his goofy self!

Getting him used to wearing a collar was a bit of a challenge. There was also the problem of him pooping and peeing inside the house for the first few months he was with us. There were times where I was ready to take him back to the shelter but when my anger subsided, I knew that I couldn't let the kids down again. Now he's a very spoiled dog who now alerts me to having to go to the bathroom and does his bu'ness outside!

To give you a little history on why I chose to adopt Schwartz...I walked into the Humane Society one day and there he was, quietly staring at me while all the other dogs in surrounding kennels were spazzing out, barking endlessly. He was so quiet, in fact, I wasn't even sure he knew how to bark! Then I saw his name and the first thing I thought of was that line from the movie Spaceballs, "May the Schwartz be with you!" and I knew we had to get him! Two days later, The Schwartz was with us!

Random Chick asked me to post a picture so, without further ado, heeeeeere's Schwartz!

my dog is so dope

Or such a dope, I'm not exactly sure which. My mom did ask me once if Schwartz was retarded and now I'm beginning to think that perhaps he is borderline.

Most of the toys Schwartz has had he's torn apart and they've disintegrated within days of us getting them for him. What toys does he like the most? The small catnip pillows that my cats should be playing with, my kids' stuffed animals, my daughter's barrettes, shoes of any kind and any game-piece that happened to be left out. One time he took a nap with a plastic puzzle piece in his mouth, woke up and spit it out! I swear, this dog is gonna' die an untimely death with all the shit he puts in his mouth. Oh yeah, he eats cat shit too straight from the litter box. It's like a fucking delicacy to him. *wretch*

For whatever reason, he cannot tear through this one particular catnip toy. He tosses it around and, at this point, is probably suffering from brain-damage from being on a permanent 'nip high. He'll come up to me with that thing in his mouth so that we can play fetch and within minutes that thing is soaked through, gooey even, and I just cannot manage to touch it any longer. Two weeks ago, I bought him this very cute (and very expensive) dog toy that was the same material as the catnip toy and the fucker tore through it by the end of the week! If it weren't for him recently chewing off the face of a stuffed animal and leaving it's stuffing all over the fucking house, I would have continued to let him chew away at that dog toy but I've learned my lesson the hard way.

Plastic or rubber toys? Do some dogs not have teeth?! How is it that Schwartz can destroy anything plastic or rubber within miliseconds and some dogs never pierce the surface of that object?

Do you know what he was chewing on as I'm typing this? Within one month of us adopting him, he managed to lose his dog tag. So he's chewing on something just now and he knows I can hear the "clanging" noise he's making but acts like he doesn't know anything when I approached him. I backed away, and saw him drop his tag out of his mouth. So I went up to him and asked him, like I was actually expecting him to respond, why he tore his tag off his collar again and lo-and-behold, there's that fucking tag he tore off back in March!!!! You don't understand, I looked high and low for that tag, where the fuck was he stashing it all this time???!

The fabric covering my box springs. No seriously. When our cat Buster still had claws, he would crawl along my box springs upside down, tearing the fabric to shreds. When Schwartz came along, looked under my bed one day while chasing down one of the cats, he saw the loose fabric and decided it was just as good as anything to tear apart. There is such little fabric left now that my box springs are starting to creak when I get into bed. Actually, I'm not sure the fabric has anything to do with the creaking or that Schwartz has decided to join me on the bed at bedtime and the weight of his big bahookie is slowly caving in my bed. Either/or, I figure any day now I'll find myself in traction in the hospital from my bed collapsing underneath me.

I think what he loves to chew on the most are the cats. So far the cats have been too quick for him to really chomp down on but the thrill of the chase for him keeps him going back for more. Each cat has had their turn to slap him around like Muhammad Ali during a prize fight. And he just doesn't fucking care. He loves the attention, thinks it's total playtime, gets right back up and goes after the cats even harder.

Hmmm...the cats smacking him around could possibly explain his possible brain damage.

happy May and all that shit

I can't believe how much time I've let pass inbetween posts! I thought as my kids got older that I'd have a little more time to settle down, explore my dark side a little bit more and have a little more freedom to get reacquainted with some old interests/hobbies. It seems, however, that I was incorrect. Simply fooling myself! As my kids get older, there is just more to do whether it is chauffeuring them around more often or more activities to attend. Which is fine but man, would I like to experience the sensation of sitting still for two seconds!

Schwartz is doing great! Things finally clicked for him and he's been doing his bu'ness outside! There were only two accidents in the last few weeks and I realized both those times were times of excessive play inside the house and he obviously wasn't interested in taking any time out to go outside so he did his thing inside.

With this has come a newfound trust between us. I no longer make him sleep in his crate at night. Usually, he'll sleep somewhere on the floor in my bedroom and sometimes he will sleep in the crate but the door always remains open so that he can come out if he so chooses. I wanted to see if he could go the night without sneaking out of the room and pooping in the house and he has proven himself to me. It also doesn't hurt that I'm a very light sleeper and if I heard him leaving the room, I'd be on his ass like white on rice making sure he wasn't sneaking out to make a stinky!

As much as I love the dumb pooch, and yes he is a bit on the dorky side, I'm convinced he is ADD. Talk about a lack of focus! Anything and everything becomes a distraction when I take him outside to go to the bathroom and I swear, the little fucker kids across the street from me purposefully cause me grief and thoroughly enjoy it. Either that or they have a death wish.

It just seems that whenever I'm by myself on the weekends, the kids who my children play with come knocking...no, banging on my door. Banging and banging and when they hear Schwartz barking and see how it drives him nuts, they keep on going like the fucking Energizer Bunny. I swear, the youngest heathen child is Satan disguised as a little boy. We'll just call him Damian. His fiery red hair suits his evil ways.

And then, when I go to take Schwartz outside for a quick pee/poo break, those kids magically emerge out of nowhere and do whatever they can to distract him. A blade of grass blowing in the wind distracts him, so you can imagine what three wild boys screaming while playing does to him. If the dog still had his boy equipment, he'd blow his load right there on my front lawn!

I took Schwartz to get groomed yesterday for the first time since we adopted him. What a handsome young thang! He was closely shaven, more than when we first got him, and he has coloring that we didn't know he had! I'd been searching for a groomer, preferably for one of those mobile groomers, but when it came down to it, I just needed to find someone and fast! He was very over-grown and with the weather getting hotter, I needed to get rid of all that excess fur. I ended up taking him to Petsmart despite hearing from people that their grooming services were expensive. I didn't think the expense was terrible but since I don't know anything about grooming, I'd be interested in hearing from ya'll what you consider expensive.

Alright guys and gals, it is time to start my day! There's more to tell but who the fuck has the time?!

life at shady pines

No, I have not admitted myself to a nursing home. I may be turning 40 in a few months but I'm hoping I'm still years off 'til I have to give myself to geriatric living.

Shady pines is a doggy daycare/boarding facility. Once you get past the long road resembling the one from The Friday the 13th movies and the several ramshackle double wides on the side of the road, it opens up to a gorgeous lake with, well you probably guessed it, beautiful shady pines surrounding it.

And then, to the left, you see the facility.

Let's just say, I have no problem using this place for daycare purposes but would not subject Schwartz to it for longterm boarding.

Camp Green Dog is the Ritz Carlton of boarding facilities. Shady Pines...is not. Despite the woman in charge of the daycare repeatedly telling me that they have plans in the works to renovate the existing facility as well as add onto it, it's not the least bit impressive. Granted, when I took a tour of the place last week, they did not show me the inside where the boarders are kept. I was only interested in the daycare and that's what I was shown.

There are numerous large fenced-in pens with shaded shelter, kiddie pools, water bowls and some fun climbing equipment. More aggressive dogs are kept in one pen, smaller dogs are kept in another and Schwartz was kept in the largest pen with the majority of the dogs, all pretty much large like him.

Watching the dogs jump Schwartz like he was joining a gang was a little disheartening until the woman explained to me that it's a control thing. That once they got used to him, they'd stop roughing him up and would play with him. Watching a larger male dog mount Schwartz and start to hump him was a bit shocking! The resident homosexual hound, George, just could not get enough of The Schwartz. The Schwartz must have "it"...whatever "it" means. *wink*

This adorable female dog came to his rescue! Vegas barked at George until he backed down, then turned around and grabbed Schwartz by the scruff of his neck. Poor Schwartz, he just couldn't catch a break! He laid down and took it all until they got tired of messing around with a dog that just really looked like he couldn't give a shit!

When I came back five hours later, he had found himself a nice shady resting spot and looked ready to go. He's a bit out of shape and will have plenty of time this week to work on his stamina as he's going back tomorrow and Thursday as I have school activities to attend all day at my kids' school. He is so tired right now, he's unable to finish his dinner. I'm betting he gets a great night sleep tonight!

this isn't what i signed up for

For the most part, I absolutely LOVE being a mother. I'm even getting myself prepared for my son's upcoming middle school hormonal years and almost looking forward to it. I said "almost".

What I don't enjoy is having to sit for several hours in the ER with a child who has an injured body part.

My son has never had an ounce of tolerance for pain. From the moment he started cutting his first tooth, I knew there was an issue there! So Sunday night he comes home from his dad's with another ache to tell me about...apparently the tendons right beneath his left thumb have been hurting him for awhile but he never thought to tell anyone 'til after a ball hit him square on the knuckle of his thumb.

*heavy sigh*

There was no bruising or swelling but when I pressed on his thumb, there was significant screaming. Yesterday morning, he fought me on going to the doctor to get it examined. I told him if he didn't, there was no baseball for a week. Needless to say, he agreed to get his thumb examined.

The wait wasn't so bad although I have to ask as children, we were all that freakin' impatient?????! I mean, Holy Suture Kit Batman, if he asked me one more fucking time where the doctor was, I was gonna' take a scalpel to my own throat!

The result? No breaks as far as the human eye could see which doesn't mean there isn't a break, but that there could be one so small, it can't be detected. To that I have to say, a mother knows her own child better than any doctor on this planet and when my son starts crying simply from my removing sports tape from his thumb, something's telling me this ain't no little sprain.

The nurse put this massive splint contraption on his thumb and he was off to school. Of course being a boy that finds pleasure in pulling things apart that he knows he shouldn't touch, the splint was falling apart by the end of the school day. He had a baseball game last night and I was a bit annoyed with his coach when he asked me to try to tape my son's hand because he really needed him to play. I could only imagine what this guy would ask me to do for, let's say, a stab wound...

"Oh, just pad it up real good. He'll be fine. He shouldn't lose too much blood."

Anyway, I taped it and my son played better than ever in his game last night. Go figure.

Now let's talk about Schwartz for a minute...

*rolls eyes*

Oh Schwartz, Schwartz, Schwartz...can someone please remind me why I got a dog???

This dog is more trouble than he's worth. I'm a true animal person and love dogs but fuckin' A, folks! Let's go down the list...first there was the pooping in the family room and my son's room. Then my son started closing the door to his room while Schwartz was out and about so that Schwartz wouldn't find an interest in his room. Then things escalated and I couldn't figure out why Schwartz wasn't pooping outside when I knew he had to go only to find out that had started sneaking up the stairs when I had my back turned for two seconds and was pooping on the landing. I would follow the poop scent but could never find it until one day last week when I had to go upstairs for something and there was this massive pile of shit greeting me. Who knows how long that had been there!

Now it's come to him leaving puddles of pee for me to nearly step in on my wood and tile floors. Saturday night he threw up one nasty motherfuckin' heap of vomit. I have no idea where came from, he didn't eat thatthat much! I was half expecting his head to turn all the way around and for him to say "The sow is mine!"!!!

And seriously? I'm getting really tired of this dog being up my ass nearly every minute of the day. I get up from my desk chair and he's right there, up and ready to follow me wherever I go. It's gotten to the point, where I think he's purposefully positioning himself in front of me so that I trip over him. This dog is so probably laughing at me!

Last Friday, he was supposed to go to Camp Green Dog but that was in the can when I felt it necessary to take him back to the vet for the second time that week due to another rough night on Thursday. He had blood taken although the vet was pretty convinced that his problem is behavioral and not physical. The bloodwork came back yesterday - all is fine as the doc expected. So now, get this, the dog will probably have to go on Prozac. Oh yeah, and yesterday we started him on a daily regime of Zantac for a reflux problem. WTF is with these needy, high-maintenance pets I have who have fucking reflux problems?!?!??! It's like they search me out or something!

So let's see what Schwartz is on right now...

daily joint supplement for the rest of his life
antibiotics for a mystery illness that doesn't exist
daily Zantac for the rest of his life for a recurring reflux problem (good thing I already had a supply since I use it myself!)
and now possibly Prozac to help alter and boost my dog's emotional state

Will someone just give me a fucking break already??!?! I may have to dip into my dog's Prozac if this bullshit continues!!

And that wonderful medical insurance I got to try for a month free for adopting Schwartz? I'm SO glad I let it lapse. *blank stare*

rough night

For several nights now, Schwartz has been breathing very hard whenever he lays down to rest. Panting excessively, breathing very fast and looking like he can't catch his breath. Last night was the worst of it.

He woke me up twice because of his loud breathing. Wheezing, stopping, starting...I knew something was seriously wrong. The second time he woke me up, I let him out of his crate and lead him into the family room where I laid down on the sofa and he laid down on a plush comforter next to me. His breathing still loud, I pet him non-stop for 30 minutes 'til he finally fell asleep. His fur and skin were hot with fever but his breathing had slowed down to normal and he was relaxed and finally asleep. So relaxed, in fact, that a few times I couldn't hear or see him breathing and I thought he was dead! Noises that normally wake him, didn't budge him.

In the morning he was very sluggish and was only interested in laying down wherever he could. Eating wasn't a priority. Like I know my own children, I knew he had to go to the doctor and dropped him off for an evaluation after dropping off my kids at school.

Not ten minutes later did the vet call me. I was expecting bad news like "we can't save him" bad news. Luckily, that wasn't the case. Apparently, Schwartz had a very bad reaction to the tapeworm medication I gave him yesterday. The vet told me that the worse the tapeworms are, the worse the dog feels and apparently Schwartz was feeling pretty fucking shitty! After finishing up with my taxes (OY! My taxes!), I picked him up and he was in good spirits. Right now, he's "recovering" from inhaling his food and taking a really good poop! I know, you really needed to know that. *wink*

So, my taxes...where do I begin?!

I guess I should begin with the IRS contacting me in March to inform me that there were some discrepancies on my 2006 tax return. That there were some things I didn't report. What they meant was, that the douchebag tittiefucker who prepared my taxes last year fucked me up. I called the office where I get my taxes done and while the DTF (douchebag tittiefucker) was no longer working there (probably a good thing since I'd have to kick her flabby ass if she were), I did get in touch with a lovely gal who really helped me out. Spent hours with me identifying the problems and helping me fill out the paperwork.

And that same woman spent hours with me today preparing my taxes for me and did so so that I wouldn't encounter the same issues as I did last year. But even so, what a fucking pain in the rectum!

With all that behind me, I still have the fair to deal with this weekend at my kids' school. As a room mom, I'm in charge of running a booth with another class so I've been trying to put the final touches on that. The good thing is, we're doing a water gun shootout booth and if it rains on Saturday as predicted, everything is being moved inside but we won't be able to have a booth because no one is gonna' want a bunch of crazy kids shooting water all over the floors and walls! Either way, this is the big event of the spring and all the kids look forward to it while all the parents cringe that they have to work a freakin' booth!

Speaking of which, I just remembered I have to get in touch with one of the other room moms! Later y'all!
